ReadersMagnet, a trusted name in self-publishing and book marketing, is proud to exhibit Richard LoPresto's book “Old Timers Day: As told by God to Richard LoPresto” at an upcoming 2025 book fest at Printers Row. This book event, which is the Midwest's premier book fair, will take place in Chicago's historic Printing House Row District on September 6-7, 2025.

In a story unlike any other, “Old Timers Day” invites readers into a spiritual and fantastical baseball game where eternal stakes are at play. What if God and the Devil created their fantasy baseball teams, using legendary players – living and dead – and played the ultimate game at the ghost of Ebbets Field? What if the fate of the universe hung in the balance?

Author Richard LoPresto says the concept was divinely inspired during one of his visits to Central Church in Henderson, Nevada, where he believes God chose him to write this extraordinary tale. As the visions continued, LoPresto began documenting the messages he received and eventually sought the help of his longtime friend, award-winning writer, producer, and director Jerry Schafer. Together, they crafted a story that is both thrilling and imaginative, yet deeply spiritual.

A passionate baseball enthusiast well-known in the United States and Japan, Richard LoPresto brings his lifelong love and knowledge of the sport to every page. He also has an impressive background in show business, having written and produced the musical television special Where Will You Be in 2000 A.D., the final production filmed at Las Vegas's iconic Stardust Hotel.

“Old Timers Day” is more than a sports story; it's a spiritual journey, a winner takes all showdown, and a heartfelt offering to the timeless magic of baseball. It's a book that will resonate with fans of the game, seekers of meaning, and lovers of stories where the impossible becomes reality.
